Created in 2000 as part of the Massachusetts Family Network initiative, BYFN serves the following communities: Auburn, Blackstone, Douglas, Grafton, Millbury, Millville, Mendon, Sutton, and Upton. 

The goal of Beginning Years Family Network is to assist parents, through education and support, in developing the skills they need to be involved and effective parents and to connect these parents to each other and to their communities.  BYFN is a grant program funded by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care administered by the YMCA of Central Massachusetts Boroughs Family Branch.

  • Family and Community Activities
  • Workshops and Resources on Parenting Issues and School Transitions
  • Parent Support Groups
  • Lending Library of Family and Community Resources
  • Referrals to Local Agencies
  • Leadership and Volunteer Opportunities
